Situated in the city center and just a few minutes’ walk to the bustling restaurant filled street of Såo José, the Lisbon tram and Lisbon Elevator the Inspira Santa Marta is the perfect home away from home. And did we mention its ecofriendly.
Why we love it: The beautiful interior space is designed with a modern take on Feng Shui. The open lobby will pull you in immediately, with oversize chairs, enticing bar, tall ceilings and open space. The main staircase made of wood and glass makes the space seem much bigger than it is, with a deep set design you might just feel like you are entering a secret castle.
The Inspira is a Green Globe certified property which means they have taken extra steps in not only reducing their footprint but also in helping local communities, supporting charities and protecting natural resources. They have a green meetings program, water saving fixtures in all the rooms, LED lights and in room occupancy sensors that save loads of electricity. They are even carbon neutral thanks to their purchasing of carbon offsets.
There are plenty of ways to relax and unwind at the Inspira, it’s the details at this hotel that really got us though. They sell local crafts made by autistic children at the front desk, and every bottle of water that is sold in the hotel goes to an organization that builds water pumps in Africa. But that’s not all.
